Public and Private Ventures
Under the leadership of Dr. Mason, JSU is moving forward to effectively and efficiently respond to societal needs. In partnership with public and private entities, the University is engaging in homeland defense through its National Center for Biodefense Communications; in AIDS/HIV epidemic through its Mississippi Urban Research Center; and in information technology & economic development through its e-Center and e-City.

Global Reach
Technological development has made the world a smaller place. With over 200 students from more than 39 countries from around the world, JSU plays a key role in the educational, economic and social changes in the global environment. The JSU Office of International Development is a national leader in promoting international understanding and partnerships through research, teaching and service.
